Lower Normandy begins where the Seine empties out into the Channel and ends superbly with the Mont Saint-Michel. Its flower-covered hills and pastures contrast sharply with its long beaches - the site of the Normandy landings - and the often rugged coastline of Cotentin. History unfolds as you discover this region. When making your “pilgrimage” to Mount Saint-Michel, you must certainly not forego the pleasure of crossing the strip of land known as the Cotentin. Normandy offers beaches, white cliffs, cathedrals and suave resorts, illuminated by its iridescent light that gave birth to impressionism.
